Making up Stationery Packs

At Hope Centre, Anniversary Day (morning only)

Working with Team Leader, Liz Tan, you will be putting together the children’s stationery packs from school stationery lists. You will need to be good at following detailed instructions and have an eye for accuracy and following process.  

Giving Children Their Stationery Packs

At Hope Centre, Saturday 25 January (morning, afternoon, or both)

Location: Community Room

Working with Team Leader, Liz Tan, you will welcome the children into the stationery room, finding their individualised stationery pack, sitting with them and going through each item. This is a chance to engage with the children, talk to them about school and get them excited about the new school year and their learning. You need to enjoy spending time with children and be details focused to ensure they get the correct stationery.  

Book Decoration

At Hope Centre, Saturday 25 January (morning, afternoon, or both)

Location: Conservatory

Working with Team Leader, Rebecca Gilfillan, you will be helping the children (and their whanau) to decorate their new books with stickers and name their books. You need to have a friendly disposition and enjoy engaging people in conversation. If you are looking for a volunteer opportunity that suits being less mobile but gets all the fun of the children’s excitement, then this is the role for you!
