Funding the Project
At Back to School, we believe that every child deserves the tools they need to succeed in their education. Each year, we are committed to providing essential school supplies to tamariki in need, and we need your help to make it happen. As the number of tamariki involved in the Project grows, so does the dollar amount which is needed to ensure that we can fully fund all the required items for each child.
Your generous donation will directly impact the lives of students. The Project is run solely by volunteers so there are no overhead hidden costs that need to be met by donations. Every dollar received goes directly toward supporting whanau and tamariki in need.
We have varying ways in which you can support the Project. Every dollar counts! Some of the specific costs which you could give monetary donations to fund are:
- $150 will fully fund everything a child is supplied with
- $50 will fund a new pair of shoes
- $20 will fund the cost of a new backpack
- $10 will buy a new lunchbox or drink bottle
- $5 will provide a new pencil case
We also welcome physical donations of the above school supplies. We ask that you do not donate school books, pens, pencils and other similar items as stationery items are supplied in conjunction with school stationery lists which are individualised for each child.
Your support can be life changing for a child. The financial pressure for whanau at the start of the school year can be significant, particularly where there are multiple tamariki in one family attending school. Your donation can help relieve this pressure and the stress it brings for parents.
We invite you to share this initiative with your friends and family. Spreading the word can help us reach more potential donors and sponsors who can assist in our mission. The more people who know about our cause, the more tamariki we can help. Your involvement is crucial to the success of our Back to School Project.
Please visit our donation page to see how you can help today. Together, we can empower our tamariki to achieve their educational dreams.
